We are seeking a highly experienced Level 5 Operations Advisor (OA) with a validated background in covert action operations and support to join our team in McLean, VA. The ideal candidate will bring deep subject matter expertise (SME) in covert action, along with a proven track record in operational certifications and leadership roles in mission management.
This position offers the opportunity to shape, guide, and oversee sensitive operational activities, contributing to high-priority national security objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide expert guidance and oversight on the planning, execution, and evaluation of covert action programs.
Serve as a trusted SME on covert action authorities, operational tradecraft, and interagency coordination.
Advise senior leadership on mission development, risk mitigation, and policy compliance.
Collaborate with field and headquarters personnel to align operational strategies with national security priorities.
Review and refine operational proposals, ensuring alignment with legal and policy frameworks.
Lead or support mission management efforts, including coordination of assets, resources, and personnel.
Mentor junior officers and contribute to knowledge sharing across mission centers.
Required Skills
Active Top Secret/SCI with Polygraph.
Extensive operational experience in covert action, preferably in support of U.S. government or intelligence community missions.
Validated SME credentials in covert action operations.
Demonstrated success in complex mission environments, including interagency collaboration.
Possession of relevant operational certifications (e.g., OPS I, II, or III).
Prior experience in operational or mission management roles.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Desired Skills
Experience working across multiple operational domains (e.g., HUMINT, paramilitary, cyber-enabled ops).
Familiarity with legal and policy frameworks governing covert action.
Previous assignments in high-impact or high-risk environments.
Leadership experience with cross-functional or geographically dispersed teams.
