Job Summary:
The Regional Dynamics Analyst provides expert analytic support to A2A Division through the authoring and critical review of all production related to Emerging Events and Violent Extremist Organizations (VEO) within the CENTCOM area of responsibility, ensuring an emphasis on potential implications to 9 AF (USAFCENT) plans and/or operations. These products may include, but are not limited to PowerPoint presentations, formal messages, background papers, and items of interest, collection requirements, production requirements, RFI answers, and staff summary packages for general officers, CAOC/9 AF (USAFCENT) staff and supported unit reviews.

Job Summary:

Essential Functions:
- Provides critical oversight of training on predictive and forensic analysis, with focus on the environmental (physical), economic, and socio-cultural factors that drive intrapersonal and interstate dynamics, in the AOR.
- Provides expert analytic support to 9 AF (USAFCENT) planning, by authoring and reviewing prioritized intelligence and production requirements, intelligence estimates, and annexes and appendices.
- Serves as the adversary Airpower authority on 9 AF (USAFCENT) Red Team, during war-gaming and exercises, and in support of 9 AF (USAFCENT) adaptive planning processes.
- Serves as 9 AF (USAFCENT)/A2 Force Protection lead, ensuring Force Protection personnel throughout the AOR have the proper sight picture on potential threats to their respective installations and personnel.
- As directed, leverages all formal and informal analytic exchanges, as well as training opportunities, in order to foster peer-to-peer collaboration, ensure thorough vetting of products, and deliberately pursue/maintain acuity on essential elements of tradecraft.
- Maintains coordination/collaboration, critical to mission success, with: National Command Authority; National, International, and Service Intelligence Centers Combatant Commands, Air Components, and Wing Intelligence.
- Maintains specialized intelligence and operations community accesses pertinent to their functional area, in order to enhance situational awareness and planning support.
Knowledge Skills and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Political Science or similar degree and/or eight (8) years' comparable experience
- Formal Intelligence Analysis training
- Experience analyzing and briefing complex geopolitical issues
- Working knowledge of USCENTCOM AOR, political/military threats, understanding of violent
- extremist organizations, terrorist organizations, working knowledge of intelligence analysis and TTPs.
- Proficient in utilizing standard computer applications and intelligence related automation to support analytical efforts and product development
- Briefing skills to include the ability to clearly articulate information
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a TS/SCI clearance and a valid US passport
Preferred Qualifications:
- Advanced Analytic training
- Unit level experience working with aircrew
Work Schedule:
- Forty (40) hours / Mon-Fri, Day shift
