Amentum is actively seeking a Training Design and Development Specialist to support active contracts in Huntsville, AL. The position may require CONUS travel.

Description:

The Training Design and Development Specialist supports electronic data systems, technical editing, quality management audits, learning management systems, and instructional system design.

Responsibilities of the Training Design and Development Specialist include:

• Maintain and improve upon curriculum and instructor development processes

and products.

• Design, write, review, and edit a variety of written documents, to include, but not limited

to, manuals, SOP's, guidebooks, handbooks, briefs, instructional guides, and reports.

• Design, write, review, and edit a variety of Microsoft tools and products

such as PowerPoint and Excel.

• Maintain, improve upon, and provide technical customer service support for Huddle Software as a Service (SaaS) product.

• Lead the process to prepare, schedule, implement, and document results of industry standard internal audits, especially regarding accredited programs.

• Provide technical support for external, third-party audits as required by various

international and national accreditation standards.

• Maintain and improve upon an existing Quality Management System (QMS)

that is ISO 9001 compliant for the purpose of seeking appropriate organizational and

individual credentialing, to include accreditation to viable international or national

standards.

• Maintain and provide technical customer service support for subscription services

identified as SurveyMonkey and ClassMarker for survey and testing purposes.

• Ensure the successful attainment, and maintenance of additional credentialing for

programs such as accreditation to viable international or national standards.

• Support other types of relevant valid credentialing that serve the purpose of enhancing its mission capabilities regarding training, forensic services, and personnel certification programs.

Training Design and Development Specialist Qualifications:

• Proven past technical experience with operating, maintaining, and improving upon an

electronic data systems such as Huddle as a Service (SaaS) collaboration product, and subscription web-based services such as SurveyMonkey and ClassMarker.

• Superior technical writing and editing skills, to include extensive working knowledge

of Microsoft tools.

• Experienced and credentialed to conduct internal and external quality management

audits. This includes past proven performance, relevant academic study and/or

training, and valid credentialing such as The American Society of Quality's Certified

Quality Auditor credential.

• Experienced and credentialed with learning management systems, instructional

system design and learning outcome measurement. This includes past proven

performance, and relevant academic study and/or training.

• Proven experience related to the development, implementation, and maintenance of

an ISO 9001 compatible QMS.

• Preference for personnel with prior public safety/military backgrounds, especially in

the design, development, implementation, and evaluation of training
  • Strong research, verbal and written communications skills Valid U.S. Driver's License
  • Bachelor's Degree from accredited college or university preferred. Combination of formal education, work experience and on-the-job training will be considered
  • General experience with local, State, or Federal law enforcement or the US military is preferred, but not required
  • Must successfully pass an ATF background investigation which includes criminal history, credit/financial queries, drug use, previous employment/education verification, and DMV records check. An active ATF Public Trust Clearance is required to perform in this role. Note: US Citizenship is required to maintain an ATF Public Trust Clearance.
