Leading provider of Information Operations (IO) and Irregular Warfare (IW) capabilities to the U.S. government. Integrates Information Related Capabilities (IRC) across multiple domains, environments, and geographic boundaries, supporting both domestic and overseas operation via Information Operations planners, intelligence analysts, cultural advisors, and linguists
About The Role
Peraton is seeking post-undergraduate Social Scientist Interns, with a background in international relations, political science, communication, anthropology, social psychology or related field, to support a Cyber Mission program 100% remotely.
The ideal candidate will support the program full-time (40 hours per week) over summer 2025 and switch to part-time (20 hours per week) during the academic year, from September 2025 through June 2026. We are also willing to consider a full-time internship for a 12-month period if desired (July 2025 - June 2026).

About The Role

The ideal candidate will provide analytic support with the following responsibilities:
- Analyze geopolitical events in [the Middle East or Asia], providing answers to requests for information (RFIs) and support (RFS), typically 1-5 pages in length.
- Evaluate media / communication narratives by state and non-state actors (to include violent extremist organizations and militia groups).
- Utilize social media and AI-enabled analytic tool suites in order to identify trends in the information environment.
- Support knowledge management in the Operationally Dynamic Information Network (ODIN) data lake and reporting structure.
- Support potential white paper and/or article development.
- Support the review of opinion research data.
- Support the development of technical capabilities in ODIN through helping to research and model real-world geopolitical / military operational scenarios.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
- Completed BS/BA degree.
- Pursuing, or recently completed, a MA/MS, or PhD in Social Science, International Relations, Political Science, Communication, Anthropology, Social Psychology or a related field.
- US Citizenship with the ability to obtain and maintain a TS/SCI security clearance.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Previous experience with media analytic tool kits and/or statistical packages (e.g., SPSS).
- An existing TS/SCI security clearance.
- Previous hands-on experience through coursework and/or internships.
- Experience working with US Military and/or US Federal Government customers.
