For over 60 years, the Fleet Ballistic Missile (FBM) team has supported the Navy's mission to provide affordable and credible strategic defense. We want you to support the Fleet Ballistic Missile (FBM) D5LE2 Program in the Propulsion, Structures, Ordnance, and Controls (PSOC) team by joining the Structures Mechanical Engineering group as the Mechanical Engineering Asc Manager - Nose Fairing and Interstage.
As a Mechanical Engineering Asc Manager for NF and IS, you will be responsible for leading and managing a team of design engineering professionals, providing guidance on design and specifications, development milestones and maturation, driving successful reviews, and serving as the point of contact for activities related to NF and IS to our customers and program leadership. You will oversee the execution of current on contract work, and manage cost account activities, including earned value management and budgeting. You will also be responsible for near term strategic planning and collaborating with the Strategic Lead on Long term strategy.
Your responsibilities include:
• Leading and managing a team, including recognition and disciplinary actions, and employee performance evaluations
• Managing multiple efforts across an IPT with various potential path forwards
• Executing cost account management duties, including proposals, manpower planning, and variance analysis
• Identifying and tracking risks and opportunities across your IPT
• Collaborating with cross-functional teams, including but not limited to production, procurement, subcontracts, and engineering
• Detail planning of IMS for near term scope (next ~3 years)
• Near term strategic planning (next ~3 years)
• Proposal and Basis of Estimates creations
• Communicating project status, concerns, help needed, and future plan to Program and customer review meetings
• Effectively communicate to various levels of leadership, both technical and non-technical
Note: US citizenship and ability to obtain Top Secret clearance
Basic Qualifications:
• Bachelor's or higher degree in Engineering or related field
• Experience in a relevant engineering, project management role, and/or management role
• Proven self-starter with demonstrated capability to proactively work through difficult technical, project and resource challenges
• Demonstrated FSL behaviors
• Experience creating and baselining schedules
• Earned Value Management experience
• Experience with the Microsoft Office Tool Suite (PowerPoint, Excel, etc)
• Must be a US Citizen and have the ability to obtain a Top Secret clearance
Desired Skills:
• Experience working with DoD counterparts
• FBM D5LE2 Experience
• Experience with long life programs
• Experience with proposals

Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 9x80 every other Friday off
Pay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in California and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New Jersey, Vermont, Washington or Washington DC is $104,500 - $184,115. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate's final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.
