Tyto Athene is searching for a Senior C2IP Services Lead to support U.S. Southern Command on the SCITES II Contract in Doral, Florida.
The Senior C2IP Services Lead develops, implements, and manages enterprise Communications Security (COMSEC) operations to protect USSOUTHCOM's mission-critical communications and classified information. The position supports mission planning, system readiness, cybe rsecurity compliance, and service management aligned with DoD directives and ITIL best practices.

Tyto Athene is searching for a Senior C2IP Services Lead to support U.S. Southern Command on the SCITES II Contract in Doral, Florida.
The Senior C2IP Services Lead develops, implements, and manages enterprise Communications Security (COMSEC) operations to protect USSOUTHCOM's mission-critical communications and classified information. The position supports mission planning, system readiness, cybe rsecurity compliance, and service management aligned with DoD directives and ITIL best practices.
Responsibilities:
- Establish COMSEC policies, procedures, and encryption standards, ensuring compliance with DoD regulations, National Security Agency (NSA) directives, and Risk Management Framework (RMF) requirements
- Oversee the receipt, distribution, storage, and destruction of cryptographic keys, secure communication devices, and related materials
- Conduct security assessments, audits, and key management operations to maintain accountability and mitigate risks
- Lead incident response efforts for COMSEC violations, coordinating with internal and external stakeholders to ensure swift remediation
- Execute lifecycle management of COMSEC assets, aligning operations with cybersecurity, risk mitigation, and continuity of operations (COOP) strategies
- Conduct periodic inspections, compliance reviews, and forensic investigations to maintain enterprise-wide security and adherence to regulatory standards
- Provide Tier 3 and Tier 4 COMSEC leadership, mentoring custodians and collaborating with cybersecurity, intelligence, and IT teams to enhance secure communications
- Develop automation frameworks, monitoring solutions, and reporting mechanisms to improve visibility and operational efficiency
- Support joint and coalition operations by delivering secure, scalable, and adaptive COMSEC solutions across global mission environments.
Required:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field
- 10+ years of experience supporting enterprise IT infrastructure or C2 systems
- Experience managing or delivering IT services in accordance with DoD frameworks
- Strong knowledge of networking, server, storage, and cybersecurity concepts.
- Experience leading infrastructure planning and sustainment initiatives across multiple domains
- Familiarity with DISA services, STIGs, and cybersecurity compliance processes
- Strong communication and organizational skills
Desired:
- Master's degree in related filed or business management
- ITIL v4 Foundation or higher
- Project Management Professional or equivalent leadership training
- Experience with tools such as ServiceNow, or other DoD-approved ticketing systems
- Familiarity with virtualization platforms
- Experience supporting Joint or multi-domain C2 environments
- NSA COMSEC Custodian Course Certificate
Clearance:
- TS/SCI clearance required
Certification:
- DoD 8570 Baseline & CE certifications are required for all positions and may vary slightly depending on the skillset required to perform the role
- CompTIA Security+ CE
- CISSP or CISM
