Links Technology is currently seeking a motivated and skilled Desktop Support Specialist II to join our client's team in Englewood, CO. Our client is a prominent firm in the aerospace and technology sector, known for its innovative solutions and dynamic work environment. This is a Contract role offering an exciting opportunity to provide high-energy, customer-focused IT support and contribute to the smooth operation of IT services. This position requires the Desktop Support Specialist II to be onsite in Englewood, CO.

Responsibilities of the Desktop Support Specialist II:

Setup, configure, repair, integrate, and manage break/fix, moves/adds/changes for new and existing computing hardware, software, networking, and other computer-related technologies and peripherals.
Provide basic network support, ensuring full connectivity for desktops and other networked peripherals, a key task for a Desktop Support Specialist II.
Perform preventative maintenance and setup for a variety of computer-related equipment and locations, including audio-visual conferencing systems and conference rooms.
Address and resolve IT incidents and service requests, escalating to appropriate upper-tier IT teams when necessary; promptly enter, prioritize, track, monitor, update, follow-up, and close all tickets received via the IT Service Desk tracking system, telephone calls, and personnel walk-ups.
Collaborate with teams to support organizational IT efforts and assist in maintaining policies and procedures within the IT Department.
Assist with the creation and maintenance of local site IT systems documentation.
Qualifications of the Desktop Support Specialist II:

Associate's Degree in a related field of study. (Higher education may substitute for relevant experience, and relevant experience may be considered in lieu of required education.)
2+ years of hands-on experience in IT support, desktop support, or a similar technical role.
Proficiency in current IT technical standards, including desktop support, hardware and software troubleshooting, drivers, and basic network technology.
Experience with IT Service Desk tracking systems, audio-visual equipment, and conference room setup.
Familiarity with a variety of computer-related peripherals.
Strong customer service mindset with a demonstrated customer care philosophy and solution ownership.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to understand user needs and translate them into technical solutions, essential for a Desktop Support Specialist II.
