Senior Training Specialist

Primary Location: Quantico, VA

Clearance: Active DoD Secret

Job Summary

The Training Specialist - Senior will serve as the Training Lead, responsible for overseeing the design, delivery, and continuous improvement of training programs supporting enterprise logistics systems. This role involves managing training teams, coordinating with Government stakeholders, and ensuring training aligns with operational readiness goals and system updates. The position requires expertise in instructional design methodologies, experience with DoD training platforms, and proven leadership capabilities in managing enterprise training programs. The successful candidate will oversee curriculum development, instructor-led delivery, and continuous improvement of training content and delivery methods to support mission-critical logistics systems.

Specific Responsibilities
  • Lead the development and execution of training strategies and plans in accordance with Systems Approach to Training (SAT) and ADDIE instructional design models
  • Manage the complete training lifecycle, including curriculum development, delivery, evaluation, and updates to ensure alignment with operational requirements
  • Oversee instructor-led training events, including scheduling, logistics coordination, and instructor performance management and evaluation
  • Coordinate with Government leads to align training programs with system changes, user needs, and mission objectives while maintaining operational readiness
  • Manage training content deployment and maintenance across platforms such as MarineNet, DISA GCDS, and Mobile Training Suite (MTS) environments
  • Collect and analyze training feedback and performance metrics to drive continuous improvement initiatives and measure training effectiveness
  • Ensure all training materials meet Section 508 accessibility standards and are updated promptly in response to system enhancements or policy changes
  • Lead and manage training teams, providing guidance, oversight, and professional development to ensure high-quality training delivery
  • Coordinate field training logistics and manage Mobile Training Suites (MTS) to support distributed training requirements
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders to ensure training programs meet evolving mission requirements and support enterprise logistics operations

Requirements

Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Education, Instructional Design, or related field with 7-10 years of experience in training development, delivery, and program management
  • Demonstrated experience leading training teams and managing enterprise training programs in complex organizational environments
  • Proficiency with instructional design methodologies including Systems Approach to Training (SAT) and ADDIE models
  • Experience with training development tools such as Adobe Captivate, Articulate, Moodle, and other learning management systems
  • Experience delivering both instructor-led training (ILT) and computer-based training (CBT) in Department of Defense or federal government environments
  • Active DoD Secret security clearance required with ability to maintain clearance throughout employment
  • Strong communication, facilitation, and stakeholder engagement skills with ability to interact effectively with government personnel and contractors
  • Leadership experience managing teams and driving technical outcomes in training and educational environments
  • Marine Corps Curriculum Course Developer or Train-the-Trainer certification obtained within the last 5 years
Physical Requirements and Work Environment
  • Ability to work in standard office environment with occasional field training site visits
  • Capability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced, mission-critical environment
  • Ability to travel to various training locations and coordinate logistics for mobile training operations
Travel
  • Position requires periodic travel (up to 30%) to training sites, government facilities, and field locations to support Mobile Training Suite operations and instructor-led training events
