Job Summary:
The Cybersecurity Specialist supports the Command and Control Switching Systems (CCSS) "Red Switch" for mission essential secure and non-secure voice services for the users. These switches provide the ability to convene voice-conferencing meetings to support client mission assignments and senior-leader discussions. The Cybersecurity Analyst support this mission by helping to maintain the Authority to Operate (ATO) in accordance with Risk Management Framework (RMF) guidelines.

Job Summary:

Essential Functions:
- Provides Cybersecurity support services for the CCSS program and NC3 systems as they related to DRSN
- Uses RMF process to maintain an active ATO
- Manages and monitors CCSS Cybersecurity programs for the SCS Offutt Red Switch Management Office (ORSMO)
- Serves as the dedicated Cybersecurity support technical advisor for the accreditation process
- Processes, maintains, updates, and validates RMF and DRSN programs
- Assists in the configuration management process to maintain, update, and audit information
- Participates in requirements discussions with stakeholders and designs solutions
- Completes updates to DRSN RMF package in XACTA and eMASS during all steps of the RMF process
- Develops as necessary DRSN Body of Evidence documents including but not limited to; Security Plan, Security Assessment Report, Plan of Actions and Milestones, Risk Assessment Report, Network Diagrams, Equipment Inventories and Security Controls Traceability Matrix.
- Develops, implements, assesses, and monitors common security controls
- Updates POAM and correct items as required by AFGSC and 16 AF Assessment and Authorization team, as necessary.
- Works with SCS ORSMO to make changes within XACTA and eMASS
- Interfaces with DISA, ACC, AFGSC, and 16 AF during the RMF package authorization and assessment process
- Completes monthly audit file backups of all secure and non-secure DSS2A switches
- Ensures physical, personnel security, incident handling, and security training and awareness has been delivered to O&M contractors
- Manages security training continuity binder, and updates monthly for O&M contractors
- Schedules and completes quarterly destruction of media in accordance with STRATCOM policies
- Develops and maintains Contractor Work Instructions for the ongoing RMF Accreditation program
- Completes monthly audit file backups of DRSN Administration Terminals
- Interfaces as liaison between the SCS and O&M contractors
- Supports the department/unit with other IA/Cybersecurity needs as requested
Knowledge Skills and Experience:
- 6 years related experience
- High level of DRSN experience
- Ability to achieve DRSN Switch-2A Certification from DISA Joint Interoperability Test Command (JITC) training
- Mid-level experience with COMSEC programs
- Mid-level Information Assurance experience
- IAT Level II, e.g. active CompTIA Security+ or equivalent
- Work toward GSEC, SSCP, CCNA-Security, or equivalent certifications
- Active TS/SCI security clearance
- Ability to successfully pass a CI polygraph
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment to accomplish squadron goals and objectives
- Ability to read, write and speak English
- Maintains currency of required ADLS and/or INSCOM trainings
- Must possess a valid US passport
Education:
- Associate's Degree in IT, Applied Computer, Computer Science or related field
Position Requirements
Knowledge Skills and Experience:
Required
- Demonstrated experience leading, managing and working DoD Policies IAW Policy Life Cycle Management (PLCM) process and procedures; and self-inspection checklist.
- Demonstrated experience as Policy Officers for their assigned policy functional areas.
Education:
- Bachelor's Degree and 11-14 years equivalent experience or experience within computer science, system engineering, or other cybersecurity-related fields and/or intelligence community.
