Overview

The Graphics Designer provides recommendations regarding design, graphics, features, and functionality to enhance and improve the user experience for Sharepoint and website environments.

Responsibilities

  • · Assist in the creation of visual and print collateral, including original graphics and imagery (especially in support of briefing development and logos); print publication design (including but not limited to: brochures, announcements, reports, invitations, presentations, newsletters, and infographics); basic photography services (including taking photographs and rendering them for print or web publication); and other media projects in support of DASA (DEC).
  • · As directed, develop and design projects from initial concept through final production, including proofing, file preparation, and distribution. support identification and evaluation of new digital technologies that promote brand awareness and assist with the development and coordination of the appearance of print and electronic materials such as letterheads, use of logo, brochures, and infographics.
  • · Develop communications products (senior/executive-level briefs, speeches, memos, newsletters, digital bulletin boards, etc.) and draft content (press releases, website content, articles), and provide technical writing and editing in support of outreach efforts.
  • · Ensure all products adhere to Army regulations regarding style guides and public affairs guidance and are targeted appropriately to respective audiences.
  • · Assist in ensuring all communication products are cleared through Army Public Affairs, General Counsel, Foreign Disclosure, and OPSEC prior to release.


Qualifications

Required:

  • · Bachelor's Degree
  • · 3 years experience
  • · Proficiency for tasks, at the level described, using MS PowerPoint and Adobe applications (e.g. Illustrator, Lightroom, & Photoshop).
  • · Requires Secret clearance
