Zachary Piper Solutions is seeking a Junior Electro-Optical Test Engineer to support the test and evaluation of electro-optical sensors in a laboratory environment at the United States Naval Research Laboratory (NRL) in Washington, D.C. This role involves hands-on testing, data collection, and software development to support sensor performance analysis and lab capability upgrades.

Key Responsibilities:
- Execute test plans and collect data from electro-optical sensors (visible or infrared).
- Develop and present test reports based on collected data.
- Maintain and calibrate laboratory equipment.
- Assist in upgrading laboratory testing capabilities.
- Write and maintain data acquisition and processing software using Python and MATLAB.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related technical field.
- At least 2 years of relevant experience.
- U.S. Citizenship and the ability to obtain an Interim Secret clearance.
- Experience testing electro-optical sensors.
- Ability to conduct hands-on testing and data collection with minimal supervision.
- Proficiency in software programming for test automation and data processing (Python and MATLAB preferred).
Compensation:
- Salary range is $80,000 to $110,000 (Based on years of experience and relevant education)
