ClearanceJobs is aiding their customer in search of an experienced Contractor Operations and Maintenance Support (COMS) Technician / Information Systems Security Officer (ISSO) to support Air National Guard (ANG) F-16 Mission Tactics Trainer (MTT) simulators!
An active Secret Security Clearance at a minimum is a MUST to apply!
Location: Joint Base Andrews, MD
Job Type: Full-Time
Salary Range: $80k - $115k
Overview: Primary responsibility will center on operating and maintaining training devices that simulate F-16 flight operations, communications systems, subsystems, electronic signals for communication networks, data links, digital radio, battle management, and command and control systems. The individual must have a working knowledge of the Risk Management Framework (RMF), documentation, roles and responsibilities, and how to work collectively on a team pursuing cybersecurity practices compliant with policy, regulation, and best practices. Works in conjunction with the Training System Support Center (TSSC) ISSO/Information System Security Manager (ISSM) to ensure site and system compliance in scope of current accreditation.
Qualifications:
• 2 years relevant experience with Bachelors in related field; 0 years’ experience with Masters in related
field; or High School Diploma or equivalent and 6 years relevant experience
• Experience in electronics, engineering, flight simulation, or related technical and/or military field(s)
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as schematics, safety rules, operating and maintenance
instructions, and procedure manuals
• Must have excellent technical writing skills and command of the English language
• Operating knowledge of Windows/Linux operating systems
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and/or Adobe products
• Able to successfully manage competing tasks and priorities
• Strong oral and written communication and organizational skills
• Must obtain DoD 8570 baseline certification for IAT Level II within 6 months of hire
• Ability to work in a team environment and independently
Preferred Requirements:
• Current CompTIA Security+ certification or related
• Technical school graduate or military service school in Avionics Systems or related
• Prior experience on the F-16 Aircrew or Maintenance Training System
• Experience supporting Special Access Program (SAP) efforts
