Overview
Seeking an experienced ISSO to lead cybersecurity operations, manage ATO packages, and ensure compliance across AWS, CI/CD, and containerized environments. Hybrid (2–3 days/week onsite).

Security Clearance: TS/SCI required.

Minimum Requirements:
• 5+ years of experience implementing cybersecurity risk management methodologies (e.g., NIST SP 800-30, 53, 128, 160, 171, or CIS benchmarks) in support of secure system configurations and oversight.
• 3+ years in an ISSO role leading security initiatives and coordinating with PMs, Cyber Assessors, and Authorizing Officials (AOs).
• Experience with implementing RMF, FedRAMP, ICD 503, and DoD Information Level controls.
• Hands-on experience with security in AWS cloud environments, CI/CD pipelines, containerized systems, and Agile development workflows.
• Proficiency in developing and maintaining ATO authorization packages using Xacta or eMASS.
• Experience performing vulnerability analysis, audit log reviews, and continuous monitoring.
• Bachelor’s degree in IT, Cybersecurity, Data Science, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field.
• Active DoD 8570 IAT III or IAM III-level certification such as CGRC (CAP), CASP+, CCSP, Cloud+, SSCP, Security+, GSEC, or CISSP.

Key Responsibilities:
• Manage daily operations and ensure the effectiveness of cybersecurity programs and initiatives.
• Assess threat impacts and determine cost-effective security solutions.
• Develop innovative, compliant solutions to complex cybersecurity challenges with minimal supervision.
• Analyze, document, and present risk mitigation strategies and ATO artifacts.
• Oversee implementation and maintenance of cybersecurity frameworks and security controls.
• Lead compliance scanning, vulnerability remediation, and log review processes.
• Serve as a key interface with mission stakeholders, providing guidance and mentorship to team members.
• Supervise and support junior staff as needed, contributing subject matter expertise.

Skills and Proficiencies:
• Deep understanding of DoD STIGs, NIST standards, and cyber risk frameworks.
• Proficient in security tools such as Xacta, eMASS, STIG Viewer, SCAP, ACAS.
• Familiarity with automation/scripting tools like Ansible, Terraform, and Splunk.
• Experience with audit, compliance, vulnerability management, and incident detection.
• Strong written, verbal, organizational, and presentation communication skills.
• AWS Solutions Architect or AWS Security Specialty certification preferred.
