CB5 is looking for a Senior Server Administrator who will be responsible for managing and maintaining an organization’s servers to ensure optimal performance, security, and availability. Will work closely with stakeholders to understand their requirements and deliver solutions that enhance collaboration and productivity.
Duties:
Server Management: Install, configure, and maintain server hardware and software to ensure optimal performance and security.
Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve server issues, including hardware failures and software malfunctions.
User Management: Set up user accounts, manage access rights, and provide technical support to end-users.
System Monitoring: Monitor server performance, resource usage, and security audits to ensure maximum uptime and efficiency.
Backup and Recovery: Implement and manage data backup procedures and disaster recovery plans to protect organizational data.
Documentation: Create and maintain documentation for server configurations, processes, and procedures.
Collaboration: Work closely with IT teams to design and implement server architecture and security measures.
Requirements:
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field is typically required.
Experience: 6+ proven work experience as a Server Administrator or in a similar role in IT.
Experience with deployments and using JSON
Technical Skills: Knowledge of server operating systems (Windows, Linux, etc.), network protocols, and security techniques.
Certifications: Relevant certifications (e.g., MCSE, RHCE) may be preferred or required.
Desired Skills
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Familiarity with virtualization technologies and cloud services.
Secret Clearance is Preferred but must be Clearable.
Pay: $85,000.00 – $102,000.00 per year
