The Opportunity:
CACI Austin is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to support design, drafting, and logistics for our Navy Air programs. You will work within multi-disciplinary hardware and software teams who are creating networked sensor system in support of the Department of Defense and other Intelligence Community agencies. You will also work closely with our Program Management and Systems Engineering teams to understand customer requirements and deliver solutions in a timely manner.
Responsibilities:
* Coordinate, develop, and create Technical Data Packages (TDPs) in accordance with ASME standards and at level needed to support production builds and maintenance activities for all projects
* Provide rigorous and quantitatively-backed engineering estimates for development
* Create and champion well-considered technical approaches that meet project requirements
* Provide status reports to Program and Engineering Management to ensure alignment of project objectives, product strategy, and technical solutions
* Coordinate generation of maintenance procedures for removal and replacement of line replaceable units
* Provide inputs to design reviews with architecture diagrams, concept drawings, and production drawings
* Develop Diminishing Manufacturing Sources and Material Shortages program to identify and resolve concerns
* Produce well-polished technical documents, reports, and presentations for customers
* Support technical white paper and proposal development (technical sections)
Required Qualifications:
* Experience with development of TDPs to ASME standards
* Experience working within multidisciplinary engineering teams of eight or more individuals.
* Experience with conducting analyses of alternatives and trade studies to support evaluation of technical trade-offs and decision-making
* Self-motivated with good interpersonal and written/verbal communication skills
* US Citizenship with active SECRET security clearance
* B.S. in Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent, and minimum 5 years of related experience
Desired Qualifications:
* Active TS/SCI security clearance

Pay Range: There are a host of factors that can influence final salary including, but not limited to, geographic location, Federal Government contract labor categories and contract wage rates, relevant prior work experience, specific skills and competencies, education, and certifications.
