Position Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and security-cleared Senior System Administrator to join our team in North Charleston, SC. In this role, you will manage and support critical infrastructure, oversee system integration, and ensure the security and performance of computing environments. You will play a key role in capacity planning, disaster recovery, and the implementation of innovative solutions to complex technical challenges.
This is a hands-on, leadership-oriented position ideal for someone with deep technical expertise, a proactive mindset, and a passion for secure, high-performance systems.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee system integration, hardware/software installation, and configuration of servers and workstations.
Provide advanced problem resolution, root cause analysis, and technical support for delivery systems.
Participate in the design, validation, and configuration management of computing systems.
Plan and coordinate system changes and upgrades.
Administer user access and implement safeguards to meet security requirements.
Monitor system performance and support capacity planning, backup, and disaster recovery strategies.
Mentor and train junior team members; lead by example in technical excellence and collaboration.
Basic Qualifications:
Successfully completed a Tier 5 Investigation (T5) or enrolled in a Continuous Vetting program.
Active Full Scope Polygraph required.
5+ years of experience as a systems administrator.
5+ years of experience working cross-functionally with stakeholders at all levels, including executive leadership.
Preferred Qualifications:
5+ additional years of related work experience or equivalent education.
Active certifications in Cloud, Information Security, or related fields.
Experience with virtualization platforms such as AHV, VMware ESXi, or Hyper-V.
Familiarity with VDI infrastructure, system monitoring, and secure infrastructure practices.
Experience using Confluence for documentation and Jira for task tracking.
Education & Experience:
Typically acquired through a Bachelor’s degree in a technical field and 9+ years of related experience, or an equivalent combination (e.g., Master’s + 7 years, PhD + 4 years, or 13 years of direct experience).
