Solidus is hiring a Senior Systems Engineer. In this role you will be part of the continued development of an advanced, leading-edge, software system providing test engineering support, guidance and team communication. As the Sr. Systems Engineer, you will function in a technical support role in a SAFe Agile development environment and will effectively work and communicate with engineers on the agile development teams.

This is an onsite role based in State College, PA.
Clearance Requirements:
• US Citizenship and an active TS/SCI CI Poly security clearance
• Willingness to undergo comprehensive background investigation
Day in the Life:
• The systems test engineer will execute multiple aspects of the systems engineering discipline, to include software test, requirements traceability into software functions, system performance analysis, and system integration and test activities to ensure system requirements closure
• The system test engineer will interact with the agile development team regarding technical considerations, risks, and issue closure associated within the system capabilities.
• The candidate must also possess the ability to multi-task, adapt to rapidly changing circumstances, effectively network, and communicate to the appropriate levels of the organization and support schedules and delivery milestones
Key Qualifications & Skills:
• Bachelor's degree in science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM), and a minimum of 5 years of prior relevant experience
• Have a CompTIA Security + Certification - Linux
• Demonstrated system engineering lifecycle experience developing or testing large software systems
• Leading test events, customer demos, test team coordination, modifying and creating test procedures, ad hoc testing, documenting test results, and reporting and writing defect reports
• Support of agile software development activities, including requirements specification and integration test and verification activities (full life-cycle)
• Ability to maintain technical cost and schedule for systems test engineering and software integration activities
• Have excellent communication and organizational skills; able to articulate intent, frame requirements and test activities, set priorities, develop practical methods, and align resources to meet goals.
• Experience interacting with both programmatic and technical presentations
• TS/SCI CI Poly clearance required.
Preferred:
• Significant experience working in DevOps and/or DevSecOps or test driven development in an Agile development environment
• Experience in a technical role of a large multi-disciplined engineering team
• Experience with cloud-based S/W architectures and systems
• AWS cloud experience - AWS cloud technology knowledge and implementation
• Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) knowledge and experience, as a System Engineer
• Experience using modeling resources and methodologies like Cameo, Enterprise Architect, Rhapsody, etc.
• Experience using Agile tool sets (JIRA, Confluence, Bitbucket, etc.), and evaluation of COTS / FOSS
The salary for this position is estimated to be between $110,000- $171,000. Customer contractual specifications, relevant work experience, skills, competencies and certifications, clearance status, and benefit selections will influence the final salary.
