Quantum Research International, Inc. Mission:
Quantum is seeking an experienced System Administrator to join our team in a Sensitive Compartmented Information Facility (SCIF) environment. This role involves managing and maintaining virtual and physical IT infrastructure while ensuring compliance with stringent DoD cybersecurity policies and standards. The ideal candidate will bring deep expertise in Windows Server environments, DISA STIG enforcement, virtualization technologies, and technical documentation.
We anticipate the start date for the successful candidate will be August 4, 2025

Responsibilities:
- Manage and maintain IT infrastructure in compliance with DOD regulations and SCIF standards.
- Collaborate with the Cyber Security Team to implement DISA STIGs and maintain a secure operating environment.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot virtual infrastructure and system issues including hardware, software, and networking problems.
- Administer Microsoft technologies including Windows 11, Windows Server 2016/2019, Active Directory, Group Policy, and PowerShell scripting.
- Maintain and optimize virtualization technologies such as ESXi, vCenter, and vSphere.
- Deploy software and manage updates using WSUS and PowerShell automation.
- Produce high-quality technical documentation, reports, and presentations.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- 7+ years of experience integrating satellite communication equipment and software
- Must have an Active DOD Top Secret Security Clearance and be eligible for SCI
- DoD IAT Level II (CompTIA Security+ CE or equivalent) certification required
- Must have a minimum of five (5) years of experience, of which at least three (3) must be specialized experience including designing, implementing and/or administering medium to large information systems and/or networks
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Active DoDI 8570.01-M IAT Level II certification (e.g., CompTIA Security+ CE) or higher.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Computing Environment certification.
Desired Skills and Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree of science in engineering or scientific field of study from an accredited college or university
- Hands-on experience in a classified environment.
- Familiarity with DISA STIGs, RMF processes, and hardened configurations.
- Experience using enterprise-level monitoring and configuration tools.
