Join our dynamic team as a cross-functional systems engineer, where you'll play a vital role in empowering Special Operations Forces (SOF) with cutting-edge training and expertise in RF, crypto, systems, and network devices. As a key member of our team, you'll have the opportunity to make a meaningful impact by sharing your in-depth knowledge of tactical networks, antenna theory, radio wave propagation, and field expedient antenna system design. You'll work with advanced radio systems, including AN/PRC-160, AN/PRC-163, and AN/PRC-167, and stay up-to-date with the latest developments in network and cyber/IT technologies. Your expertise in MANET waveforms, crypto devices, and 'system of system' environments will be invaluable in driving our mission forward. As a skilled problem-solver, you'll think on your feet, providing innovative solutions to complex challenges and demonstrating a strong troubleshooting mindset. Responsibilities will include:
* Designing and delivering comprehensive training programs for SOF communications systems
* Developing and maintaining training materials, including courseware, manuals, and simulation tools
* Conducting training sessions and providing expert instruction to SOF operators
* Evaluating operator proficiency and providing feedback to ensure mission readiness
* Staying up-to-date with the latest developments in SOF tactical communications, network and cyber/IT technologies and incorporating these into training programs
Ideal candidate will have strong verbal communication skills and be comfortable speaking to a large audience and provide expert training on a broad range of communications systems. They should have a spirit of continuous learning, incorporating the last technologies into training courses. They will also have strong writing abilities to develop latest training course material.
This position is located in San Diego. There is no relocation assistance available for this position. Applicants must be currently residing in or state willingness to relocate self to San Diego or surrounding areas.
Required Education, Experience, & Skills
Bachelor of Science degree in relevant Engineering or Cyber/IT and 4 years of related experience (Additional experience may be substituted for the degree)
Good understanding of networking - Cisco routers, switches, firewalls, and VPNs
Prior training and/or curriculum developer experience
Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills
Master Training Specialist
Recognized IT certifications such as COMPTIA A+, Network+, or Security+, Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA)
Prior SOF experience or good understanding of culture and understanding of common SOF tactics, techniques, and procedures
Knowledge of Windows, Linux, virtualization and test cutting edge Cyber technologies
Pay Information
Full-Time Salary Range: $95106 - $161680
Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
