Description:Lockheed Martin Space is seeking an entry level Electrical/Mechanical Technician to join our Advanced Electronics department in King of Prussia, PA! As a key member of our team, you will play a critical role in the assembly of our highly complex circuit boards and wire harnesses, as well as performing a variety of duties in the electronic, mechanical, and electromechanical areas.
Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
• Perform a variety of duties in the electronic, mechanical, and electromechanical areas, including constructing, troubleshooting, calibrating, adjusting, testing, diagnosing, and maintaining equipment, components, devices, or systems
• Assemble circuit boards and wire harness with high attention to detail and adherence to engineering specifications
• Interpret and work from schematics, engineering drawings, and written or verbal instructions to complete tasks efficiently and accurately
• Operate related equipment, conduct tests, and report data in a prescribed format to ensure accurate and reliable results
• Prepare prescribed compounds and solutions as needed, following established procedures and safety protocols
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including technicians, support staff, and engineering aids, to develop and refine a strong working skill set
• Work effectively in a team environment and as an individual contributor, demonstrating adaptability and flexibility in a fast-paced production setting
• Contribute to the development and implementation of process improvements, ensuring compliance with quality and safety standards
Basic Qualifications:
• Must have an understanding of safe use of hand tools
• Must be able to work flexible shifts, provide after-hours support, and work overtime as required to meet production demands.
• Physical Requirements:
- Ability to stand for extended periods of time
- Ability to lift and move equipment and tools as needed
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with frequent interruptions
- Ability to wear personal protective equipment (PPE) such as smocks, gloves, and safety glasses as required.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance
Desired Skills:
• Desire to Learn and Grow: A strong desire to learn and develop basic skills within the technician job scope, with the ability to demonstrate learning agility and pass both written and hands-on certification requirements.
• Proven experience with assembly operations in a quality-controlled environment, with a strong focus on attention to detail and adherence to regulatory standards.
• Proficiency in interpreting and working with engineering drawings, schematics, and manufacturing work instructions to ensure accurate and efficient assembly processes.
• Engineering Drawings Proficiency: A basic understanding and ability to read engineering and installation drawings, including the ability to interpret and apply information from these drawings.
• Manufacturing Environment Experience: Ability to work in a fast-paced, manufacturing environment with a focus on quality, safety, and efficiency.
• Calibrated Tool Competence: Ability to use and understand calibrated hand tools and equipment
• Clean Room Experience: Ability to work in a clean environment that involves wearing smocks and gloves for extended periods of time, including working at flow benches to assemble very precise mechanisms.
Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.

Schedule for this Position: 9x80 every other Friday off
