Position Overview:
Jacobs is seeking a Facilities Cost Estimator to support the Missile Defense Agency (MDA) under the Integrated Research and Development for Enterprise Solutions (IRES) contract at Schriever Space Force Base (SSFB) in Colorado. This position requires strong analytical skills and experience interpreting blueprints and cost data to develop detailed estimates for construction, renovation, and modernization of facilities.

Key Responsibilities:
• Develop time, labor, and material cost estimates for facility renovation, modernization, and sustainment projects
• Review and interpret engineering plans, blueprints, and specifications
• Coordinate and consult with clients, engineers, and subcontractors on project requirements and estimate revisions
• Prepare detailed cost breakdowns, reports, and bid packages
• Track economic and market trends impacting project costs
• Use RSMeans (or equivalent) and MS Excel for cost modeling and forecasting
• Assist in vendor quote analysis and subcontractor estimate validation
• Work collaboratively with engineering, finance, and procurement teams
• Support cost reviews and provide presentations to senior leadership

Basic Qualifications:
• Minimum 8 years of general experience
• Minimum 4 years of direct experience as a cost estimator
• Proven ability to interpret construction and engineering documents
• Strong analytical, math, and research skills
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
• Proficient with RSMeans (or similar) and Microsoft Office Suite
• Must possess or be able to obtain an active DoD Secret clearance

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Finance, or a related field
• Project Management or Cost Estimation certification (e.g., PMP, AACE, ICEAA)
• Familiarity with Earned Value Management (EVM)
• Experience with MS Project, Primavera, or similar project management tools
• Experience supporting DoD or federal programs
