Unified Communications (UC) Engineer
Location: Redstone Arsenal, Alabama

Description:
HigherEchelon is seeking UC Engineer to provide engineering support for the management, configuration, installation, and maintenance of a state-of-the-art UC/VTC network for AMC. This role ensures the stability and reliability of global collaborative
services.
This position is contingent upon contract award.
Job Responsibilities:
Manage, configure, and maintain UC/VTC infrastructure, including Cisco Meeting Servers and Video Communication Servers.
Provide solutions to complex problems and top-level support for h.323 and SIP systems.
Evaluate and apply security updates and patches to mitigate vulnerabilities.
Assist with RMF accreditation documentation and internal dial plan management.
Work with system vendors for advanced troubleshooting and RMA processing.
Required Skills:
In-depth knowledge of UC/VTC systems and protocols (h.323, SIP).
Experience with Cisco Meeting Servers, Video Communication Servers, and Multipoint Control Units.
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
Familiarity with DoD security requirements and STIGs.
Must be a U.S. Citizen
Must have a Secret security clearance
Desired Skills:
Experience with virtualization technologies (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V).
Knowledge of VoIP protocols (e.g., SIP, H.323).
Familiarity with telepresence management suites (e.g., Cisco TelePresence).
Experience with network monitoring tools (e.g., SolarWinds, Wireshark).
Education and Experience:
Bachelor's degree in computer engineering, Telecommunications, or related field.
Minimum 5 years of experience in UC/VTC engineering.
Certifications such as Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) or Certified Technology Specialist (CTS) are preferred.
