Software Tester/Quality Assurance

Overview

Software testing and quality assurance are essential for ensuring that software meets specified requirements and functions correctly. This role will assure that the processes involve developing and performing both manual and automated testing activities, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and utilizing tools like Azure to track and manage testing activities. This role works with the larger team to identify defects and areas for improvement, performs software testing and quality assurance to deliver a robust and reliable final product. Support Department of Treasury - Office of the Comptroller of the Currency (OCC).

Responsibilities

• · Develop, maintain, and perform manual and automated testing activities (i.e., define scenarios, develop detailed scripts/procedures, map acceptance criteria to scripts).
• · Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand project requirements and specifications.
• · Develop and execute comprehensive test plans, test cases, and test procedures for cloud-based software applications and data sources.
• · Perform software testing to identify defects, areas for improvement, and validate that acceptance criteria are met.
• · Utilize Azure to track and manage testing activities, defects, and test case execution.
• · Report and document defects and work closely with developers to troubleshoot and resolve issues.
• · Provides clear and concise status reports on testing progress and results.
• · Provides input for useful tools for the platform Test Framework based on program needs.
• · Works closely with Product Managers and Scrum Masters to assess the impacts of functionality being delivered and trace to work being executed in upcoming sprints/increments, etc.

Qualifications

Required:

• · Bachelor's Degree with minimum of 3 years of experience in software testing or quality assurance
• · Experience with Azure
