Job Description:
Our cybersecurity software test team is searching for experienced software test engineer that can help us conduct system testing, security analysis on systems and/or software to understand and identify the functionality, limitations, and vulnerabilities of systems under test. We provide learning opportunities ranging from on-the-job training to formal course instruction within unique technology areas.

This position provides support to the 47th Cyberspace Test Squadron at Lackland AFB, TX. Job Requirements include:
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
• Assist in preparation of Developmental Test & Evaluation (DT&E) plans, test cases, and report according to established test methodologies and procedures.
• Participate in all phases of software and hardware development to include requirements development, risk assessments, and acceptance criteria development.
• Support functional testing at the system, interoperability, and integration test levels on various systems and networks under the direction of a Senior Test Engineer.
• May participate in all phases of software and hardware development to include requirements development, risk assessments, and acceptance criteria development.
• Coordinate with customers, test engineers and range engineers to ensure the test infrastructure meet desired test objectives and data collection requirements.
• Compile and analyze test results data to determine conformity of the product or capability to the requirements.
• Document change requests/deficiencies of the product or capability, resulting from test data analysis.
• Actively participate cooperatively in Agile team planning and test execution.
• Analyze software requirements and specifications to develop comprehensive testing plans.
• Design, implement, and maintain automated tests using relevant technologies.
• Collaborate with developers to integrate testing into the development process.
• Promote continuous improvement through knowledge sharing and best practice implementation.
• Maintain accurate records of testing activities, including results, metrics, and insights.
• Identify, document, and communicate defects and suggestions for improvement.
• Actively communicate throughout the acquisition process to influence development of a testable capability or product.
• Assist as a technology subject matter advisor to customers.
• Assist in compellation and analysis of test results data to determine conformity of the product or capability to the requirements.
• Assist in the document change requests/deficiencies of the product or capability resulting from test data analysis.
• Actively participate cooperatively in Agile team planning and test execution.

Required Experience
Required Experience:
- One of the following combinations is required:
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in computer science, mathematics, engineering or a mathematics-intensive, technical discipline and 2 - 5 years of technical experience
- Associate degree in a technical discipline and 6 - 9 years of technical experience
- HS Diploma or equivalent and 10-13 years of technical experience
- U.S. Citizenship is required
- Must possess an Active DoD Top Secret Clearance, issued within the last 6 years
- Must obtain the International Software Testing Qualifications Board (ISTQB) Certified Tester Foundational Level (CTFL) certification within 6 months of hire
- Must obtain the ISTQB Certified Tester Advanced Level-Test Analyst (CTAL-TA) certification within 2 years of hire
- Knowledge of Waterfall & Agile software development methodologies
- Minimum one year software testing for software/hardware applications or systems is required
- Must have good writing/oral presentation skills
- Must be proficient with the Microsoft Office Suite
Preferred Experience:
- Working knowledge of the following: Linux, Windows, VMware, OSI Model, Network traffic collection and analysis, Kubernetes, Elastic, Git, enterprise network architecture, communication equipment and technologies, routers, mail and web servers, Intrusion detection & prevention systems, firewalls, anti-virus tools, network traffic generation, Jira, Confluence, Zephyr, and Docker
- Programming or scripting skillset (Python, Java, JavaScript, PowerShell)
- Basic understanding of Software Security and Open Source, cloud and virtualization software and services
- Knowledgeable on various Software Development Lifecycles
- Development methodologies (agile, waterfall)
- Proven ability as a self-starter and independently pursues continuous learning and development
- Ability to independently collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration and effective testing strategies. The selected candidate will also be responsible for analyzing defects, identifying areas for improvement, and contributing to the enhancement of overall product quality

- Software Test automation experience
- Programming or scripting skill-set
