Koniag Emerging Technologies , a Koniag Government Services company, is seeking an experienced Documentation and Training Specialist 3 to support our federal client. The ideal candidate will bring strong technical writing skills, experience in developing training materials, and a thorough understanding of federal agency operations. This position requires a Public Trust Clearance. This position is Hybrid, with some on-site work required.

Position Description:
The Training and Documentation Coordinator will be responsible for developing, maintaining, and delivering comprehensive training programs and documentation for various systems and processes. Principal responsibilities include:
- Developing training curricula and materials for both in-person and virtual delivery
- Creating and maintaining user manuals, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and technical documentation
- Conducting training needs assessments and evaluating training effectiveness
- Coordinating and delivering training sessions to diverse audiences
- Managing a library of training materials and documentation
- Collaborating with subject matter experts to ensure accuracy of materials
- Maintaining training records and tracking completion rates
- Creating quick reference guides and job aids
- Supporting change management initiatives through documentation and training
- Recording and editing training videos and e-learning content
- Gathering feedback and implementing improvements to training programs
- Ensuring documentation meets federal standards and requirements
- Supporting system implementation projects with training and documentation
Education and Experience Required:
- Bachelor's degree in Technical Writing, Education, Communications, or related field
- 5+ years of experience in training and documentation
- Previous experience working with federal agencies
- Demonstrated experience creating technical documentation and training materials
Required Skills and Competencies:
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong technical writing abilities with attention to detail
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel)
- Experience with documentation management systems
- Knowledge of adult learning principles and instructional design
- Ability to translate complex technical information into user-friendly content
- Experience developing e-learning content
- Strong presentation and public speaking skills
- Proficiency in virtual meeting platforms (Teams, Zoom)
- Project management skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Experience with document version control
- Ability to obtain and maintain Public Trust Clearance
- Understanding of federal documentation requirements and standards
Desired Skills and Competencies:
- Experience with e-learning authoring tools (Ex. Articulate, Captivate)
- Knowledge of video editing software
- Familiarity with Department of Interior systems and processes
- Experience with SharePoint administration
- Knowledge of 508 compliance requirements
- Experience with Learning Management Systems (LMS)
- Graphics design skills
- Experience with process mapping tools
- Knowledge of federal training requirements and regulations
- Previous experience with change management initiatives
- Familiarity with Agile methodologies
- Experience conducting remote training sessions
- Knowledge of federal records management requirements
- Certification in training or technical writing.
