Overview:
Our client is seeking a System and Network Administrator to join the Space Systems Verification and Test team in El Segundo, CA. This role is critical to ensure the readiness and security of Special Test Equipment (STE) used in both factory and launch environments. You will be part of a high-performing team focused on deploying, hardening, automating, and maintaining test systems that support mission-critical space programs.

Our client is seeking a System and Network Administrator to join the Space Systems Verification and Test team in El Segundo, CA. This role is critical to ensure the readiness and security of Special Test Equipment (STE) used in both factory and launch environments. You will be part of a high-performing team focused on deploying, hardening, automating, and maintaining test systems that support mission-critical space programs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide hands-on support for factory floor test operations across multiple programs.
- Define and document test setups, deploy test software/configurations, and troubleshoot system issues.
- Coordinate with program teams to fulfill requests and enhance operational efficiency.
- Develop and implement tools to meet product security requirements.
- Apply agile methodologies to manage and track product security tasks.
- Configure and secure facilities, tools, networks, and data used in the design, development, testing, and delivery of space systems.
- Active Top Secret Security Clearance
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, or equivalent experience.
- Active CompTIA Security+ and Network+ certifications.
- Proficiency in:
- Windows Server, RedHat Enterprise Linux, Oracle Enterprise Linux, Cisco IOS
- VMware Virtualization
- Enterprise Storage systems
- Strong communication, analytical, and decision-making skills.
- Ability to support 24/7 test operations.
- ITIL 4 and/or CCNA certification.
- Experience with:
- Satellite Test and STE Operations Readiness
- Cybersecurity practices and compliance
- RedHat/Oracle Linux, Windows XP-11, and network-based storage
- Certifying PTEX and MTEX Test Servers
- Certifying Automated Test Controller (ATC) Server and Client
- Bachelor's degree with 2+ years of relevant experience, or
- Master's degree with relevant experience in an engineering classification.
