Role: Project Analyst
Customer/Program: NAVSEA Code 443/ NSWCPD Code 252 support
Location: mostly remote, but must be local to Chesapeake, VA, Washington DC, or Philadelphia, PA; ~10% travel to the same customer locations.
Salary Range: $85,000 - $105,000 but commensurate with experience and qualifications, as well as business and market considerations.

The Project Analyst will be responsible for providing comprehensive project support, including data analysis, tracking program objectives, and managing various program initiatives. The Project Analyst will leverage strong analytical skills, project management expertise, and Navy-specific knowledge to assist in driving key outcomes.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Data Analysis & Reporting:
• Develop, track, and manage key performance metrics using analytical tools.
• Create and maintain dashboards, charts, and financial reports to monitor project progress, expenditures, and other critical metrics.
• Perform detailed analysis of program data, identifying trends and making recommendations for continuous improvement.
• Provide PowerPoint presentation support by compiling program data and presenting key findings and recommendations to senior military and civilian leadership.
• Support financial documentation and procurement processes as needed, ensuring compliance with Navy regulations and procedures.
• Perform quality assurance (QA) and quality control (QC) checks on program deliverables to ensure accuracy and compliance with specifications.
• Compile and analyze financial data from ERP systems and generate Excel-based reports to support program tracking and leadership briefings.
• Extract and summarize contract modifications ensuring updates are documented and tracked in a structured format.
• Track obligations, burn rates, and funding ceilings across multiple contracts, ensuring financial alignment with technical and schedule objectives.
• Project Management:
• Coordinate and manage various program activities, ensuring they align with Department of Navy requirements and project objectives.
• Develop and maintain project schedules, including task tracking and milestone monitoring, using tools such as MS Project and Gantt charts.
• Support the development of Program of Actions and Milestones (POA&M) and Integrated Master Schedules (IMS).
• Facilitate meetings, capturing action items, and ensuring timely execution of tasks.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
• Active Secret Clearance.
• Bachelor’s degree or professional qualification in computer science, data science, mathematics, engineering or a related field.
• Experience compiling financial reports from ERP systems (e.g., Navy ERP, SAP) into actionable Excel dashboards or summaries
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, Access).
• 5+ years supporting U.S. Navy programs or other DOD agencies
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE
• Experience working with Navy surface ship operations and/or HM&E systems
• Familiarity with NAVSEA program offices, acquisition, and engineering processes
• Demonstrated use of PIEE and EDA systems for contract post-award tracking and modification analysis
• Understanding of Navy funding types and experience tracking obligation/expenditure data against contract ceilings
• Project Management: 5+ years of experience supporting complex programs, including tracking milestones, schedules and creating high-quality presentations and reports for senior leadership.
• Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or equivalent
• Master’s Degree / MBA
