The Senior Systems Engineer will support the Army Training Information System (ATIS) program by leading the design, development, and implementation of highly complex systems. The candidate will ensure the integration of systems meets the operational, security, and performance requirements while adhering to Department of Defense (DoD) standards. This role involves collaboration with cross functional teams to deliver mission critical capabilities to Army stakeholders.
System Design and Architecture: Develop system designs, architecture diagrams, and technical specifications for ATIS systems. Ensure that system solutions align with DoD standards, Army objectives, and best practices.
Integration and Implementation: Lead the integration of hardware, software, and network components to deliver operational systems. Oversee the implementation of systems in test and production environments.
Performance Optimization: Analyze system performance and implement improvements to optimize functionality and reliability. Conduct root cause analysis for system issues and recommend resolutions.
Collaboration: Work closely with developers, testers, and stakeholders to translate requirements into technical solutions. Provide technical guidance to junior engineers and other team members.
Compliance and Security: Ensure all systems comply with DoD cybersecurity standards and Risk Management Framework (RMF) requirements. Perform system audits and ensure appropriate mitigation of vulnerabilities.
Expertise in system architecture, requirements analysis, and systems integration. Proficiency with tools such as Microsoft Visio, Jira, and other engineering software. Familiarity with DoD policies, including RMF and NIST standards.
Education and Requirements:
Current and active Secret security clearance.

Education and Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in systems engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
- 10+ years of experience in systems engineering within a DoD or federal environment.
- CISSP, or INCOSE Certified Systems Engineering Professional (CSEP).
