The Junior Ammunition Functional Analyst will support the Standard Army Ammunition System (SAAS) under Product Lead, Logistics Information Systems (PL LIS) at Fort Gregg Adams, Virginia. This role involves assisting with functional analysis, supporting system improvement initiatives, and providing operational expertise to enhance ammunition management processes.
Functional Support and Analysis: Assist in analyzing requirements derived from SAAS Help Desk Tickets (HDT), Change Proposals, and Change Items to support system functionality improvements. Conduct preliminary assessments of system issues and help clarify fault/requirement descriptions for resolution. Support reviews of SAAS system performance, identifying areas of concern and opportunities for improvement.
User Support and Communication: Monitor Tier 1 and Tier 2 SAAS Help Desk activities to identify recurring issues and distribute corrective information to SAAS system users. Prepare and disseminate "System Tips" for inclusion in PD LIS publications to enhance user knowledge.
Documentation and Reporting: Assist in preparing summaries, information papers, and presentations to communicate findings, recommendations, and program support information. Maintain accurate records of system performance trends, policy updates, and doctrinal changes.
Testing and Validation: Participate in reviews of test plans, scenarios, and scripts for SAAS system updates, providing input to improve test accuracy and thoroughness. Support Government led test events and provide feedback on system readiness for further development stages.
Collaboration and Learning: Attend Ammunition Management Community forums, meetings, and conferences as directed to gain exposure to functional and system requirements. Work with senior analysts to learn and apply best practices in database management, inventory processes, and munitions safety.
Education and Requirements:
Current and active Secret security clearance.

Education and Requirements:
- Associate degree in a related field or equivalent experience
- 3-5 years of experience in Army munitions or logistics operations.
- Ammunition Handler Certification.
Current and active Secret security clearance.
