Minimum Qualifications is any of the following:
- Education: Bachelor of Science Degree in Engineering or equivalent experience. Equivalent experience is defined as eight years of demonstrated successful performance in management and supervision within the civil engineering field.
- Five years practical experience in management and supervision of a unionized civil engineering work force. In depth experience required in power plant, electrical, heating, boilers, ventilation, chillers and air conditioning.
- Practical experience in management and supervision of real property installed equipment operation and maintenance of power plants, mechanical systems, utilities and electrical distribution, including high voltage.
- Experience in managing environmental and bio-environmental programs is also required.
- Licenses or Certifications: NONE
I. BASIC FUNCTIONS OF THE JOB:
- Provides management, planning and direction to ensure engineering support meets or exceeds the requirements of the statement of work.
- Manages a unionized civil engineering work force. Responsible for planning, directing, scheduling, organizing, coordinating, controlling and executing all civil engineering maintenance actions. This includes reviewing, reporting, approving, scheduling, controlling all work requirements for operation, maintenance and repair of real property and power conditioning equipment, facilities, and utilities.
- Identifies to the government all work requirements beyond scope of the contract. Provides for operation and maintenance of the electrical, mechanical, heating, refrigeration, cryogenic, switching, power generating and facility maintenance required to support radar operations.
- Manages site environmental and bio-environmental programs and ensures compliance with local/state/federal directives. Identifies requirements for water/sewage maintenance and repair.
- Manages the site entomology program. Establishes and manages an effective corrosion control program.
- Works with the Site Commander to enhance and ensure a smooth workflow with other on-site contractors. Prepares and submits reports.
PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Responsible for planning, directing, scheduling, organizing, coordinating, controlling civil engineering activities required for the operation, maintenance, and repair of real property and power conditioning equipment, facilities and utilities.
- Manages the civil engineering facility and power plant work force.
- Identifies to the government all work requirements beyond the scope of the contract.
- Provides for operation and maintenance of electrical, mechanical, heating, refrigeration, cryogenic, switching, power generating and facility maintenance required to support radar operations.
- Manages the site housekeeping program.
- Supervises the civil engineering production control program.
III. SUPERVISION:
- Responsibilities for Work of Others, Supervises union represented employees.
- Supervision Received, Works under the general supervision of the Site Manager. Work is checked for results achieved. Defines own work assignments within specific guidelines.
IV. WORKING ENVIRONMENT:
- Physical Tasks Exerts limited physical energy. May have to handle 20-50 pound loads on occasion.
- Working Conditions Normal office and industrial environment. May work extended hours or weekends. May travel overnight or on weekends.
Clearance Requirements:
- Currently hold or be able to obtain and maintain the proper US DoD issued security clearance, which requires US Citizenship. Security clearance eligibility may be discussed during the interview phase.
- Employment and start date is contingent upon the candidate receiving the required US DoD issued interim security clearance
