The Opportunity:
Lead the effort to build new datasets and pipelines for program needs. Analyze data (e.g. IP data) for detection of anomalies and trends. Responsible for innovative solutions driven by exploratory data analysis from complex and high-dimensional datasets. Champion the effort to integrate AI assistance and ML techniques into the software development process, including mentoring the team on industry standard frameworks and analysis techniques.
Lead research and innovation efforts on complex solutions to security challenges in telecommunications and IP/computer networking equipment in the cyber security domain. Use generative AI/ML based analytics solutions processing large sets of structured and unstructured data to gain insights and drive decision making.
Responsibilities:
• Design, develop, and implement advanced machine learning models and algorithms.
• Lead the end-to-end machine learning pipeline, from data collection and preprocessing to model deployment and monitoring, with a goal of integrating AI assistance or machine learning techniques into software development processes, field support, and data analysis of large data sets.
• Collaborate across teams to identify and solve complex problems using ML techniques.
• Assist DevOps in selecting AI hardware and software.
• Mentor junior engineers and data scientists, providing technical guidance and best practices. This includes participating in design and code reviews.
• Stay current with the latest advancements in ML/AI and evaluate new technologies for potential implementation.
• Act as the technical liaison to customers in representing key issues.
• Operate effectively and comfortably in a team environment, as a team member and as a team leader. This includes the ability to work across organizational boundaries, as necessary.
• Assist technical management in facilitating process changes needed to meet customer quality and schedule requirements.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor's and/or Master's Degree in Computer Science, Machine Learning, Computer Engineering, Data Science, or related technical discipline
• 5+ years of professional experience in production machine learning engineering environments
• Expertise in developing and deploying large-scale ML systems in production environments
• Strong programming skills in Python, with experience in ML frameworks such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, or scikit-learn
• Proficiency in SQL
• Experience with MLOps practices
• Basic knowledge of IP networking
• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Strong communication skills and ability to explain complex concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Willingness and ability to quickly learn new technologies
• Comfortable using Linux operating systems and commonly used Linux utilities
• Ability to work both independently and as a collaborative team member
• Demonstrated effectiveness in leading, organizing, and executing technical efforts
• Must be a US Citizen with the ability to obtain, maintain, and/or transfer the required security clearance as dictated by the contract
• Flexibility to adapt to new and changing environments
