Dive Maintenance Technician

Position Overview

RMGS, Inc. is currently recruiting a Maintenance Technician Open Circuit Dive Equipment Support Coronado, California. This position is contingent upon contract award.

Roles and Responsibilities

• Perform documentation of SCUBA diving equipment maintenance and portable diving equipment for certification program
• Overhaul and setting proper limits for breathing regulators
• Maintain DLSS equipment IAW US Navy Dive Manual and ensure proper functionality of all flotation devices and their emergency activation systems
• Assist with the preventative and corrective maintenance of the MK 25 UBA and support equipment
• Perform maintenance documentation
• Conduct and maintain inventory of repair parts and project needs
• Conduct and maintain inventories of diving equipment
• Enter data into multiple databases and ensure data is maintained
• Ensure consistency and appropriate cross-referencing for both newly entered and previously entered data
• Retrieve data and use data to respond to a variety of customer and vendor inquiries
• Compile and analyze data to identify trends, deficiencies, and accomplishments related to the assigned programs
• Perform research to determine reasons for patterns of transaction errors and failures
• Research problems surfaced by customers; resolve issues or route to appropriate Government personnel with information setting forth research findings
• Conduct extensive searches for information pertaining to complex and/or unusual supply transactions and patterns; assemble retrieved information into different formats to meet different requirements; for example, status reports, unmet customer needs, and other similar areas.
• Review existing automated system(s) to determine feasibility for improvement

Required Qualifications and Experience

• Possess Navy Dive School certification (Navy Enlisted Classification [NEC] 5342 or higher dive certification)
• Possess qualification as Material and Maintenance Management (3M) Maintenance Man, 3M Quality Assurance (QA) Craftsman, and 3M Work Center Supervisor
• Possess certification as factory-trained technician for diving equipment within inventory, Diver Life Support System (DLSS) Re-Entry Control (REC) Supervisor, Oxygen Clean System Worker, and MK25 Underwater Breathing Apparatus Maintenance Technician
• Possess 10 years' experience working with installation-level maintenance programs and systems that relate to maintenance capability and capacity
• Possess an active/current Secret security clearance
• Possess a valid state driver's license
• Be able to drive Government-owned trucks, forklifts and vans (No CDL license required)
• Be able to operate a Personal Computer (PC) with common/standard business software programs
• Be proficient in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Outlook, Excel and PowerPoint.
• Possess an excellent work ethic
• Have excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Pay strong attention to detail and be highly accurate in performing all tasks
• Perform duties independently, with minimal oversight
• Be able to write correspondence in a military format, when necessary
