The Opportunity:
We're looking for a customer-oriented, collaborative team player who enjoys identifying and implementing strategies that will radically improve customer-facing experiences. You'll work closely with a team that helps our customers use innovative technologies to solve their challenges.
This position best suits a hands-on learner who enjoys a dynamic, fast-paced environment. You will work directly with the stakeholders, developers, technical application architects, and program manager to meet the required deliverables for supporting Office of Water applications for countless users.
Work on multiple projects with multiple Federal Leads to collaboratively implement technical solutions, delivering business value to the organization.
Identification of innovative development solutions
Perform formal, informal (ad-hoc), and automated testing
Develop and execute well-defined test scripts in support of robust software application testing
Facilitate software testing lifecycle, including pre-release QA approvals and signoffs
Review and implement process improvements to the software quality control process
Assist with the development of integrated end-user help documentation
Provide support and technical advice during conceptualization, development, and implementation phases to transform requirements into working solutions. This includes involvement with users to define system scope and objectives and contributing to design decisions. Duties include but are not limited to:
Work on new development and re-engineering efforts, including making system design decisions.
Implement enhancements to the existing system and coordinate with developers working in parallel and performing QA/testing as needed.
Provide support for testing applications.
Utilization of JIRA for incident and request tracking when applicable outside of CI/CD.
Clearance:
Ability to obtain a security clearance (US citizen, clean background investigation, and credit check)
Locations:
Remote with the ability to work EST business hours of operation
Required Skills:
Specific responsibilities include but are not limited to:
7+ years of experience delivering business value through supporting technology implementations with federal clients
Minimum of 5 years of IT software quality experience, including test script development
Proven ability to manage simultaneous projects aligning schedule and budget
Demonstrated experience working with business owners and technologists to coordinate development of solutions that provide value
Skilled at stakeholder management and negotiating delivery of customer requirements
Superior knowledge of Systems Development Life Cycle Methodologies, IT Structured Analysis Methodologies, and Project Management Techniques
Proficiency with Agile (Scrum) Development Methodologies
Excellent oral and written communication skills and proven experience working with all levels of staff, including executive-level management
Capable self-starter with a drive to get all types of work done and high attention to detail
Ability to work well and collaborate within a team environment
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to establish priorities and demonstrate discipline and independent judgment5+ years in ArcGIS
Experience with Amazon Web Services
Experience with DevOps tools like Git, Jenkins, Maven, etc.
Experience in Agile development methodology
Preferred Skills:
Exposure to Rapid Application Development frameworks
Experience utilizing TFS & DevOps
Familiar with Microsoft Dynamics 365 and Microsoft SQL to include the development of basic scripts for data validation
Familiar with .NET technology and concepts
Familiar with Federal 508 requirements
Familiar with Salesforce and other Low Code/No Code platforms
Familiar with ArcGIS products, and a thorough understanding of cloud computing and leading technologies to support enterprise
