Modern Technology Solutions, Inc. (MTSI) is seeking a Junior Modeling and Simulation Analyst. As a Junior Modeling and Simulation Analyst with Modern Technology Solutions, Inc. (MTSI) you will help meet the requirements of our expanding customer base in the National Defense sector. You will work directly with customers, study leads, and model developers to create and execute analysis plans in various simulations, including (AFSIM, SUPPRESSOR, EADSim, and other mission and engagement level models). You will replicate systems or concepts under consideration in an operational scenario with the concept of operations and behaviors, and execute run matrices to conduct studies. This position will be located in Alexandria, VA.

Your essential job functions will include, but may not be limited to:
- Assist the Study Lead in defining study questions to address their issues of concern and in translating customer study questions into analysis plans.
- Develop model input data to replicate systems or concepts within a simulation environment.
- Assist software developers who program and operate the model(s) to produce output.
- Post-process this output into measures of merit and effectiveness to support the analysis plan objectives.
- Assist in the interpretation of model results and develop presentations of findings and conclusions for the customer to help them in their decision-making processes.
Required Qualifications:
- 0+ years of experience with mission-level modeling and simulation and Operations Analysis principles.
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, mathematics, operations research, computer science, or a similar field.
- U.S. Citizenship required.
- No Clearance to start. Eligibility to obtain Secret clearance.
- Some local travel required.
Desired Qualifications:
- Knowledge of modeling and simulation methodologies and tools (i.e., AFSIM, Suppressor, or EADSIM).
- Familiarization with developing experimental designs, executing study plans, and constructing scenario elements.
- Experience with object-oriented programming and principles.
- Experience conducting data analytics using various tools.
- Experience with statistics and their application in Monte Carlo simulations.
- Secret clearance or higher.
