Journeyman Strategic Communication Multimedia

Position Overview

The Journeyman Strategic Communication Multimedia Designer/Modeler will produce physical models related to current aerospace technology research and design engaging multimedia content to support strategic communications. This role requires proficiency in both physical modeling and digital multimedia design, with a focus on meeting technical specifications and creating visually impactful graphic products.

Key Responsibilities

• Produce physical models that align with technical specifications, including complex models with electric moving parts and detailed paint schemes.
• Maintain a model repository and ensure synchronization between physical models, technical data, and CAD files.
• Utilize 3-D printing technology for accurate physical model creation.
• Develop and design visual effects, animations, motion graphics, and renderings ranging from simple to realistic to effectively convey messages to targeted audiences.
• Create innovative graphic products such as program logos, branding materials, and sample layouts for both online and print content.
• Execute large format printing and vinyl sign cutting with precision.
• Apply knowledge of layout principles and aesthetic design concepts to all multimedia and modeling projects.
• Stay current with creative trends, design technologies, video, and social media trends to ensure relevant and innovative outputs.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Minimum 6 years of experience in physical modeling, multimedia design, and graphic production.
• Ability to obtain and maintain Secret Clearance.
• Proficient with Corel Draw, Adobe Creative Suite, Autodesk 3ds Max, and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Strong creativity and latitude in design and modeling work.
• Knowledge of layout principles and aesthetic design concepts.

Education

• Associate Degree in Graphic Design, Multimedia, Industrial Design, or related field required.
