Position Summary:
Amentum is seeking a Process Engineer to support the Missile Defense Agency (MDA) under the Integrated Research and Development for Enterprise Solutions (IRES) contract at Schriever Space Force Base (SSFB). This on-site position will focus on driving process efficiency and standardization across engineering and technology domains, particularly in configuration management and systems engineering.
Key Responsibilities:
• Develop, document, and refine engineering and configuration management processes.
• Create SOPs, work instructions, training guides, and related process documentation.
• Analyze current state operations to identify inefficiencies and propose improvements.
• Design future-state workflows and lead implementation efforts.
• Facilitate process improvement initiatives using Lean Six Sigma methodologies.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to remove bottlenecks and optimize delivery.
• Generate metrics and dashboards to track process performance.
• Conduct regular process audits to ensure compliance and continuous improvement.
Basic Qualifications:
• Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in process engineering or related fields.
• Hands-on experience with Lean, Six Sigma, or other process improvement methodologies.
• Experience with process modeling tools.
• Active DoD Secret Clearance is required.
• Must be able to work on-site at Schriever SFB, CO (no telework).
Preferred Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in a STEM-related field.
• Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt certification.
Additional Details:
• Salary Range: $100,000 – $135,000 annually (commensurate with experience, education, and certifications).
• Relocation Assistance: Not available.
• Travel: Up to 10%.
