Job Description:
Ennoble First is seeking an experienced AWS Systems Engineer to support the deployment, operation, and maintenance of mission-critical systems within Amazon Web Services (AWS) environments. The selected candidate will play a key role in configuring, securing, and administering Windows-based infrastructure, collaborating with both internal teams and external stakeholders to implement secure, scalable cloud-hosted systems. This role is part of a dynamic Systems Engineering team building the next generation of production and dissemination platforms in support of national security objectives.

Salary Range: $85,000-$105,000

Job Description:
Ennoble First is seeking an experienced AWS Systems Engineer to support the deployment, operation, and maintenance of mission-critical systems within Amazon Web Services (AWS) environments. The selected candidate will play a key role in configuring, securing, and administering Windows-based infrastructure, collaborating with both internal teams and external stakeholders to implement secure, scalable cloud-hosted systems. This role is part of a dynamic Systems Engineering team building the next generation of production and dissemination platforms in support of national security objectives.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Perform system administration for AWS-hosted Windows environments, including setup, configuration, patching, monitoring, and troubleshooting
- Support deployment and maintenance of custom, COTS, and GOTS applications in cloud environments
- Build and maintain multiple dev, test, and operational instances
- Execute deployments in agile development cycles and participate in sprint planning and reviews
- Interface with software development teams and enterprise IT components to coordinate system-level integration
- Participate in architecture design, documentation, and implementation
- Collaborate with team members using collaboration tools such as Jira, Confluence, and RocketChat
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree and 4+ years of experience; OR Master's degree with 2+ years; OR 4 additional years of relevant experience in lieu of a degree
- Active Top Secret clearance with ability to obtain SCI post hire
- DoD 8570 compliant certification (e.g., Security+)
- Experience with AWS cloud technologies, including infrastructure setup and management
- Hands-on experience with Microsoft Windows Server and Desktop OS administration in enterprise or cloud settings
- Knowledge of system architecture, design, and integration of hardware/software/networking components
- Familiarity with Agile development methodologies
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Demonstrated self-starter with strong organizational and problem-solving skills
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience deploying GIS technologies, specifically ESRI ArcGIS systems and services such as WMS, WFS, and KML
- Familiarity with a broad range of AWS services including EC2, Lambda, S3, and OpenShift
- Experience developing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines
- AWS and/or Microsoft certifications
- Experience writing and maintaining architecture diagrams and documentation
- Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic abilities across software and system layers
- Proficiency with collaboration and project tracking tools (e.g., Jira, Confluence)
