Job Description
The Lab42 Platform Manager works as a member within the Lab42 Solution team to oversee, maintain, and enhance our platforms to include:
This role will be responsible for managing and maintaining all information system architecture associated with the Lab42 Solution itself, as well as the various forms of infrastructure taken on under the team's governance and oversight activities. An expertise in AWS cloud-based environments, traditional server/VMs, database, and application administration is essential for this role's success. The ability to self-direct and manage inclusive activities with little to no direction as well as experience/involvement in technical projects such as infrastructure stand up and migration activities are required. Involvement as a lead in expansion projects for the Lab42 team will be a large part of this role's duties in addition to the overarching management of all corresponding infrastructure.

Pay Information
Full-Time Salary Range: $105254 - $178931
Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.

The Lab42 Platform Manager works as a member within the Lab42 Solution team to oversee, maintain, and enhance our platforms to include:
- managing the Lab42 infrastructure and system integrations, both cloud based and traditional, with a focus on functionality and system efficiency
- maintain and govern all Lab42 infrastructure platforms per the requirements in the BAE 902-100 Cybersecurity policy, and in line with IT best practice and other DoD industry standards
- lead patching per schedule for activities across all Lab42 systems
- lead the Lab42 CAB(Change Management) meetings and facilitate deliverables
- oversee all monitoring, reporting, and troubleshoot issue resolution pertaining to all infrastructure under the Lab42 governance umbrella
- facilitate support activities to include database related support (requirements, implementation, integration, testing, installation, and maintenance) to all software on the database servers
- lead infrastructure stand-up and change initiatives as a liaison between the business and IT
- stands in support during Lab42 Cybersecurity and other internal audits, as owner of infrastructure, corresponding procedure, and infrastructure operations for the Lab42 Solution
- collaborates with product teams to determine technical infrastructure requirements, identify solutions, and lead infrastructure solution initiatives to the benefit of Lab42 expansion and growth

Required Education, Experience, & Skills
- Bachelor's Degree and 6+ years work experience or equivalent experience
- Experience utilizing the Atlassian Suite of tools
- Proven communication and collaborative experience across diverse engineering and IT teams
- Ability to self-direct and act as subject matter expert in areas of infrastructure management, database and tooling administration, and technical project operations
- Familiarity with federal Cybersecurity policies and industry best practices
- Expertise in database and infrastructure design, system patching, architecture, development, and ongoing support and maintenance
- Perform data transfers between operating units and other systems (internal and external), provide user access to data, keep servers operational, configure assets to support user needs, and troubleshooting assets
- Experience with Distributed Systems, Multi-threaded systems, or Military systems
- RDBMS expertise
Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills
- Experience with Security administration to include enterprise antivirus, malware detection, intrusion detection and audit solutions.
- Experience with AAA, security, operating systems and networking
- Excellent with problem solving and troubleshooting.
- Experience with Open Source tools, such as PostgreSQL, Rancher, Kubernetes, Docker, etc.
- Experience with Cloud technologies, such as OpenStack, Salt, or other IaC tools.
- Knowledge of Amazon Web Services, CloudTamer, Azure, platforms and solutions
