Kavaliro is seeking a Systems Administrator to support a critical program based in Doral, FL. This role is responsible for managing, maintaining, and securing enterprise IT systems in a fast-paced and mission-driven environment. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in systems administration, virtualization, scripting, and cybersecurity best practices.
Responsibilities:
- Provide Tier 3 support for systems administration, operations, and maintenance of enterprise platforms
- Deploy operating systems, baseline software, and third-party updates using Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager (MECM)
- Administer and manage Active Directory environments, including users, groups, forests/domains, DNS, Group Policy/AGPM, ADFS, and AD LDS
- Maintain VMware virtual environments including ESXi hosts, vCenter appliances, vSphere, Horizon, VDI, VSANs, and Profile Unity
- Apply security principles and practices under the Risk Management Framework (RMF) to ensure compliance with DoD security standards
- Deploy and manage security updates in accordance with DISA policies, including STIGs and IAVAs
- Create and maintain comprehensive system documentation
- Develop scripts (e.g., PowerShell, VBScript) to automate administrative tasks, gather system metrics, and streamline operations
- Troubleshoot complex hardware and software issues
- Develop implementation plans for software installations and upgrades
- Monitor and tune systems for peak performance and reliability
- Ensure data integrity and lead backup/recovery operations
- Conduct audits to verify compliance with system standards and policies
- Support change management activities and escalate issues to vendor Tier 4 support when needed
- Design and implement advanced solutions for managing networks, hardware, configurations, and system architecture
Required Experience and Skills:
- Demonstrated experience administering enterprise environments, including Operations and Maintenance (O&M) of physical and virtual servers, operating systems (Windows, Linux), databases (SQL, Oracle), collaboration tools (e.g., SharePoint, Teams), virtualization platforms, and enterprise security
- Hands-on experience with Active Directory, DHCP, DNS, Group Policy, and profile management
- Knowledge of VMware technologies such as vCenter, vSphere, ESXi, VSAN, and Horizon
- Familiarity with infrastructure support including data centers, server hardware, storage systems, and system monitoring
- Experience with Liquidware Profile Unity and Dell Wyse Management Suite is a plus
Education and Certifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience with a minimum of 5 years in systems administration
- DoD 8570 Compliant: IAT Level II or III Baseline Certification (e.g., Security+ CE, CASP+, CISSP)
- Computing Environment (CE) Certification (e.g., Microsoft, VMware)
