Indotronix is seeking a Onsite Job - Aircraft Seat Ejection Systems Technician for a Job Opportunity in New Orleans, LA.

Max Payrate Range: $40/hr to $46/hr on W2.

Onsite Job: Aircraft Seat Ejection Systems Technician
Work Location: NAS JRB New Orleans in Belle Chasse, Louisiana
Duration: 12 months with extension (project confirmed through 2027)
Shift: 1st shift 6:30 AM to 3:00 PM
Ability to obtain a U.S. Secret Security Clearance
High School diploma/GED
May be required to work at Stennis Facility as required.


Job Description:
  • Client is searching for F/A-18 Seats Technician (Navy AME) willing to work on 1st shift at Naval Air Station (NAS) Joint Reserve Base (JRB) New Orleans in Belle Chasse, Louisiana.

Required Experience:
  • Aircraft maintenance.
  • Experience working with ejection systems.
  • Maintenance experience working on removal, install, inspection of aircraft systems/tools.

Position Responsibilities:
  • Technician maintains the following: Aircraft seats and canopy ejection systems, Gaseous O2, fire extinguishing, air conditioning, cockpit heat, pressurization and ventilation
  • Remove and install Oxygen system valves, gauges, converters and regulators.
  • Remove, install, inspect and rig ejection seats, Cartridge Actuation Devices (CADS), shoulder harnesses and lap belts.
  • Perform Daily, pre and post flight and periodic aircraft inspections.
  • Perform flight operation activities to include daily, turnaround, launch and recovery including plane captain activities
  • Assembles, disassembles and/or modifies systems by changing, removing, replacing or upgrading aerospace vehicle components to correct failures or implement changes.
  • Oversees assembly, disassembly or overhaul.
  • Configures aerospace vehicles and bench test equipment.
  • Troubleshoots complex pneumatic, hydraulic and electrical systems to isolate mechanical or electrical faults and repair faulty components.
  • Performs validation/verification testing of systems and components.
  • Documents procedures and established processes to ensure contractual and regulatory compliance (e.g., repairs, test results, applicable modifications and inspection results).
  • Inspects components and verifies repairs for flight worthiness requirements. Oversees training. Works under general direction.
  • Works under general direction.
  • Prioritizes quality, product and people safety.

Education:
  • High School diploma/GED and typically 4 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g. vocational school/Associate+2 years' related work, Bachelor, etc.).
