Position Overview

The CI Security Specialist (Level III) provides support to counterintelligence functions aligned with NGA's security programs. Responsibilities include analysis, program development, liaison, briefings, investigations, and application of CI expertise in support of the NGA's CI mission.

Primary Responsibilities

• Conduct defensive CI functions to protect NGA personnel, information, and facilities.
• Research, evaluate, and assess intelligence, terrorism, and espionage threats.
• Produce CI threat assessments, briefings, and reports with mitigation recommendations.
• Identify, analyze, and report anomalous activities and potential threats.
• Conduct tailored threat awareness briefings for NGA travelers and foreign engagements.
• Debrief NGA personnel on foreign contacts and travel; generate follow-up documentation.
• Perform CI risk assessments to support clearance adjudication and personnel security.
• Provide CI support to protect emerging technologies and GEOINT programs.
• Conduct research and prepare CI Threat Assessments and Supply Chain Risk Assessments.
• Support NGA's SCRM initiatives and ensure compliance with ICD 731 series and ICD 503.
• Collaborate across IC and DoD CI components to share intelligence and best practices.
• Participate in CI incident assessments, damage assessments, and intelligence reporting.
• Document unauthorized disclosures and prepare formal findings as required.

Required Qualifications

• Active TS/SCI security clearance.
• Minimum of seven (7) years of counterintelligence experience.
• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., National Intelligence Studies, Law Enforcement, Political Science, etc.).
• Credentialed graduate of an accredited federal or DoD CI training academy (e.g., FBI Academy).

Desired Qualifications

• Master's degree in a related field.
• Experience using CI tools and databases such as M3, Palantir, TAC, ARCSIGHT, RSA Security Analytics, TIDE, and CCD.

Target Salary Range:

$100,000 - $120,000
