The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in containerized application development and deployment using Red Hat OpenShift and Kubernetes. You will be responsible for designing, implementing, and optimizing cloud-native applications and services on the OpenShift platform.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and deploy scalable and reliable applications using Red Hat OpenShift.
- Collaborate with development and operations teams to define, build, and deliver CI/CD pipelines.
- Manage and troubleshoot containerized applications and their orchestration.
- Implement best practices for DevOps and agile methodologies within the OpenShift environment.
- Optimize application workflows and resources for maximum efficiency and performance.
- Monitor application performance and troubleshoot issues as they arise.
- Document technical specifications and operational processes.
- Stay updated with emerging technologies and industry trends related to containerization and orchestration.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- 3 -5 years proven experience in developing applications in Red Hat OpenShift and Kubernetes.
- Strong understanding of Linux systems, particularly Red Hat Enterprise Linux.
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Java, Python, Go, or Node.js.
- Experience with CI/CD tools like Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, or similar.
- Knowledge of microservices architecture and API development.
- Familiarity with monitoring tools like Prometheus, Grafana, or ELK stack.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot complex issues.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Red Hat Certified Specialist in OpenShift Administration or equivalent certifications.
- Experience with service mesh technologies such as Istio or Linkerd.
- Knowledge of cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
