Job Description:
The salary for this position is $105,000-$125,000.
This position is for Project Manager to be part of an expert team of technicians that will assist the crews of US Navy Carriers and Surface Ships perform preventive and corrective maintenance to Navy requirements. The team will help sailors find and fix maintenance issues on ship's systems and equipment by providing training to sailors on the procedures and skills needed to perform repairs. The ideal candidate will have an expert understanding of production and processes.
The Project Manager will be responsible for supervising project teams of expert maintenance personnel, interfacing with customers, and managing subcontractor teams. The Project Manager will work with Navy personnel to ensure coordination and execution of detailed inspections of various ship compartments and systems and manage multiple jobs during US Navy ship maintenance periods. The candidate should understand how to manage the specialty trades functions and tools necessary to perform shipboard maintenance work. The Project Manager will oversee the development and use of technical documents, including controlled work packages, formal work processes and procedures, test documents, reports and task or trip reports. He/she schedules, reports and briefs customers and senior management. Performs quality inspections on finished work.
Required Skills and Experiences:
a. Bachelor's Degree with ten (10) years' experience in related engineering management field, or Associate's Degree with fifteen (15) years' experience in related engineering management field.
b. Five (5) years' supervisory experience in the area of technical assistance, maintenance, or design related either to Navy Aircraft Carriers or surface ships and three (3) years should be closely involved with practical their maintenance, design, operation, and other problems of main propulsion, auxiliary, electrical, and damage control equipment associated with shipboard level maintenance.
c. Two (2) years direct experience with auxiliary, electrical, and damage control systems and included steam propulsion plants.
d. Two (2) years direct experience with auxiliary, electrical and damage control systems for U.S. Naval Ships.
e . Two (2) years of supervisory experience.
Degree Requirements:
a. Bachelor's Degree with ten (10) years' experience in related engineering management field, or Associate's Degree with fifteen (15) years' experience in related engineering management field.
