Job Summary:

KBR's role will be to support J56 SMPES Implementation cutting-edge research, development, and technical analysis efforts for US Strategic Command (USSTRATCOM)/J56 and the Nuclear Command, Control and Communications (NC3) Enterprise Center (NEC). This role involves advancing mission planning and execution capabilities for strategic deterrence through systems engineering, Agile/DevOps practices, and continuous integration/delivery methodologies.

KBR has a requirement for a Systems Analyst II to Support USSTRATCOM J56 by providing support for work described in the task. Responsibilities include managing several projects, developing technical requirements, defining scope and objectives, and developing test strategies for Strategic Mission Planning and Execution System (SMPES)

Work Environment:
  • Location: On-Site at Offutt AFB in Omaha, Nebraska.
  • Travel Requirements: Minimal 0-20%
  • Working Hours: Standard, full time


Key Responsibilities:

  • Must be capable of synthesizing system architecture design, communication networks with emphasis with mobile communications, nuclear planning applications, cyber threat capabilities and the intended operational environment, while applying fundamental concepts, processes, practices and procedures.
  • Must be capable of working on multiple complex work assignments to develop plans and solutions, coordinate and integrate system related requirements to support risk reduction activities.
  • Experience with MPAS, communication networks, satellites, long haul communication circuits, project management, or acquisition is desired.
  • Applicants must be proficient with Microsoft tools to include Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Access. Excellent communications, both written and verbal, and the ability to support and lead teams.
  • A Top Secret clearance with SCI/SAP/STO eligibility is required for this position.


Qualifications Required:
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, Management Information Systems, a related field, or equivalent experience. A minimum of 15 years of systems analysis software integration/development/ test to develop technical requirement, with 5 years including supervision/management experience
  • Define scope and objectives, and develop test strategies to implement new software and enhancements of existing applications.
  • Formulates/defines specifications for complex development/sustainment for USSTRATCOM/J56
  • Active Top Secret security clearance (TS/SCI)
