Due to the sensitivity of the projects and systems, candidates must possess an active Top Secret clearance with eligibility for Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI).
Key Responsibilities
System Design and Architecture
- Design and implement secure Multi-Level Security (MLS) architectures to support classified communications and data sharing.
- Develop solutions to enable secure interoperability between systems with different security classifications while maintaining information integrity and confidentiality.
- Research and integrate advanced technologies such as cross-domain solutions (CDS), automated security mechanisms, and encryption protocols into MLS environments.
- Implement access controls, data segregation mechanisms, and boundary protections that adhere to DoD cybersecurity frameworks (e.g., RMF, DISA STIGs, and NIST 800-53).
- Conduct continuous security assessments to identify vulnerabilities in MLS systems and design corrective solutions.
- Configure MLS solutions to prevent unauthorized disclosure, data compromise, or cross-platform security breaches.
- Ensure MLS systems comply with applicable DoD policies, FISMA, and federal guidelines for classified data protection and system interoperability.
- Collaborate with accreditation teams to achieve Authorization to Operate (ATO) for MLS systems across varying classification levels.
- Lead efforts to integrate government-mandated security standards such as Trusted Network Implementation (TNI) and Cybersecurity Maturity Model Certification (CMMC) requirements into MLS systems.
- Perform integration testing of MLS systems to validate security features, interoperability, and functionality.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams to deploy MLS solutions into existing DoD platforms and networks.
- Monitor system performance post-implementation to ensure ongoing security compliance and operational efficiency.
- Work closely with DoD program managers, system architects, and cybersecurity experts to ensure MLS solutions meet mission-critical objectives.
- Provide technical guidance and training to DoD personnel and stakeholders responsible for MLS operations.
- Act as a liaison with external vendors and contractors for acquiring and integrating advanced MLS technologies.
