MTSI is seeking a Network Administrator to support the configuration, maintenance, and security of critical network infrastructure for defense systems. This position requires hands-on experience with enterprise networks, security protocols, and system troubleshooting in classified environments. The ideal candidate will ensure network reliability, performance, and compliance across multi-domain operations.

Responsibilities
  • Configure, manage, and maintain LAN/WAN infrastructure, routers, switches, and firewalls.
  • Monitor network performance and troubleshoot connectivity issues to ensure optimal uptime.
  • Implement and maintain network security protocols, including access controls and encryption.
  • Assist with integration of new systems and technologies into existing network environments.
  • Support patching, upgrades, and documentation of network configurations.
  • Collaborate with cybersecurity and systems teams to meet mission and compliance requirements.


Qualifications

Required
  • Associate or Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Networking, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 3+ years of experience in network administration within a DoD or secure environment.
  • Hands-on experience with Cisco, Juniper, or similar networking hardware.
  • Familiarity with network monitoring and management tools (e.g., SolarWinds, Wireshark).
  • Active Top Secret clearance required to start, with SCI eligibility.
  • DoD 8570 IAT Level II certification (e.g., Security+, CCNA-Security, or equivalent).


Desired
  • Experience supporting classified networks or DoD IT infrastructure.
  • Knowledge of STIGs, RMF processes, and compliance reporting.
  • Exposure to cross-domain solutions or multi-network configurations.
  • Additional certifications such as CCNP, CASP+, or network-focused ITIL training.
