Full Stack Software Engineer
Hybrid in National Business Parkway, MD
Target salary range: $100,000 - $160,000
This estimate represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors (geographic location, etc.)
Responsibilities:
- Develop secure, containerized microservices and responsive front-end interfaces for mission-critical tools.
- Design and build backend services using Python with FastAPI and Uvicorn in an asynchronous framework.
- Create modern, responsive front-ends using React (Vite) and Nginx.
- Interact with PostgreSQL databases using SQLAlchemy for ORM and efficient data modeling.
- Containerize applications using Docker; experience with Docker-in-Docker is a plus.
- Collaborate with an agile development team to deliver scalable and resilient systems.
Qualifications:
- U.S. Citizenship is required by Federal Law.
- Active Top Secret Clearance required.
- Must live within commuting distance of National Business Parkway, MD.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field preferred.
- 3-8 years of professional experience in software engineering.
- Proven experience developing full-stack applications and working independently in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong understanding of modern backend (Python, FastAPI) and frontend (React) frameworks.
- Familiarity with containerization technologies like Docker.
- Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with authentication and access management tools (e.g., Keycloak, OIDC).
- Working knowledge of Open Policy Agent (OPA) for fine-grained access control.
- Integration experience using OpenAPI/Swagger for spec-driven development.
- Proficiency in JSON Schema for validating and enforcing structured data.
- Experience with automated testing frameworks such as Cypress, Selenium, or Pytest.
