Mantech seeks a motivated, career and customer-oriented Software Engineer to join our team at JBSA San Antonio, TX. This position is a hybrid role with 3 days a week on site.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain Java applications and services within the HRSTS ecosystem.
- Collaborate with product owners, business analysts, and other developers to understand requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
- Participate in code reviews to ensure code quality and adherence to best practices.
- Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve software defects and production issues.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of software development processes and tools.
- Work effectively in an Agile/Scrum development environment.
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field
- 5+ years of professional experience in Java development
- Solid understanding of object-oriented programming (OOP) principles and design patterns
- Knowledge of software development best practices, including testing, continuous integration, and continuous delivery (CI/CD)
- Familiarity with Agile methodologies
- Experience with RESTful web services and API development
- Familiarity with database technologies (e.g., SQL, PostgreSQL, MySQL, Oracle) and ORM frameworks (e.g., Hibernate, JPA)
- Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git)
- Experience with front-end technologies (e.g., HTML, CSS, JavaScript, React, Angular)
Preferred Qualifications:
- CompTIA Security+ certification
- Experience with HR systems or enterprise software development
- Experience with software development planning tools, such as Jira
- AWS certification
- Experience working with the Air Force or Space Force
Clearance Requirements:
- US Citizen with ability to obtain and maintain a public trust clearance suitability
Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50%
- Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a calculator, copy machine and computer printer
- The person in this position frequently communicates with co-workers, management and customers, which may involve delivering presentations. Must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations
