Astrion has an opportunity for a Software Engineer to directly support the Front Office Group (FoG) of the Crytologic Sytems Group (AFLCMC/HNC), which is located at Lackland AFB, TX.
SECURITY CLEARANCE: MUST have an active US TS/SCI Security Clearance

Astrion has an opportunity for a Software Engineer to directly support the Front Office Group (FoG) of the Crytologic Sytems Group (AFLCMC/HNC), which is located at Lackland AFB, TX.
SECURITY CLEARANCE: MUST have an active US TS/SCI Security Clearance
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelors Degree and 7 years of experience in the respective technical/professional discipline being performed, 3 of which must be in the DoD
- MUST have an active US Security Clearance
- PL-500, Security +, and PL-600 is highly desired.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills required
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Working with the Program Systems Integrator/Developer and Capability Development Team (CDT) to assess and resolve technical and engineering issues
- Support the Adobe agile lifecycle
- Serve as an advisor for technical and engineering aspects of software development
- Monitor system operation and performance throughout system lifecycle
- Determining operational feasibility by evaluating analysis, problem definition, requirements, solution development, and proposed solutions
- Documenting and demonstrating solutions by developing documentation, flowcharts, layouts, diagrams, charts, code comments and clear code
- Preparing and installing solutions by determining and designing system specifications, standards, and programming
- Improving operations by conducting systems analysis; recommending changes in policies and procedures
- Obtaining and licensing software by obtaining required information from vendors; recommending purchases; testing and approving products
- Providing information by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing development and service issues
- Accomplishing engineering and organization mission by completing related results as needed
- Developing software solutions by studying information needs; conferring with users; studying systems flow, data usage, and work processes; investigating problem areas; following the software development lifecycle
