Job Summary:

B&A is looking for an SAP Funds Management Consultant to join a contract with a federal government client in support of an important mission. We are seeking an experienced SAP Funds Management (FM) Consultant to support the design, implementation, and optimization of Funds Management processes within the SAP Public Sector or equivalent environment. The ideal candidate will have hands-on expertise in configuring and supporting SAP FM modules and integrating them with other financial and logistics modules.

Responsibilities:
  • Analyze client requirements and translate them into SAP Funds Management solutions.
  • Configure and support SAP FM components including budget structure, budget execution, availability control, and reporting.
  • Define and implement commitment and funds availability control settings.
  • Integrate Funds Management with Financial Accounting (FI), Controlling (CO), and Grants Management (GM), where applicable.
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders, finance teams, and technical teams to support end-to-end budgeting and fund lifecycle processes.
  • Assist in data conversion, interface design, and testing activities.
  • Support the design and execution of functional test cases, user acceptance testing (UAT), and end-user training.
  • Resolve issues and support production systems as needed.
  • Document functional designs, configuration settings, and process flows.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory and internal financial controls.

Education and Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, Information Systems, or related field.
  • 5+ years of SAP Funds Management experience with at least one full lifecycle implementation.

Required Skills:
  • Strong knowledge of Public Sector financial processes and requirements.
  • Deep expertise in: Fund, fund center, and commitment item configuration, budget formulation and availability control, fund assignments and derivation rules, integration with FI/CO, MM, and GM.
  • Hands-on experience in configuring budget profiles, fiscal year variants, tolerance limits, and multi-year budgeting.
  • Experience in SAP ECC or S/4HANA Public Sector environments.
  • Strong analytical and communication skills.

Desired Skills:
  • Ability to gather requirements and conduct fit-gap analysis.
  • Knowledge of SAP reporting tools including Report Painter and Budget Reports.
  • Experience with year-end closing processes and audit support.
  • Strong understanding of integration points with SAP Grant Management and Project Systems.
  • Proficiency in writing functional specs and collaborating with developers for custom enhancements or reports.
  • Experience with SAP Fiori apps related to budgeting and funds control (S/4HANA).
